Jacqueline Morrisseau-Addison.

Jacqueline Morrisseau-Addison (they/she) is a Saulteaux and English interdisciplinary cultural worker originally from Treaty 7 territory, (lethbridge, ab). Morrisseau-Addison is currently based in the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.

Morrisseau-Addison’s practice is interdisciplinary, embracing multi-sensorial mediums, facilitation + curating and writing. Additionally, Morrisseau-Addison works with beadwork, photography, film, audio, found/foraged organic materials, wood and charcoal. They prioritize collaboration, love and care as well as challenging institutionalization and performative allyship. Bringing these methods and materials together, their work seeks to engage and immerse viewers/participants, spark conversation and envision a future in which all beings - humans and non-humans, thrive.

During their time in Treaty 7 territory, Morrisseau-Addison attended the University of Lethbridge’s Studio Arts program for three years. In 2018, they moved to Tiotià:ke/Mooniyang (montréal qc) to complete their undergraduate degree in Art History at Concordia University (BA - Art History with Distinction, 2020).

Morrisseau-Addison is a current graduate student in the Department of Art History, Visual Art & Theory at the University of British Columbia.
